Chile, a versatile, narrow, long band on the Pacific coast of South America. We traveled around the country for a few weeks in 2014, recording our impressions.

Santiago de Chile

A metropolis of colossal proportions: about 44% of Chileans live in the city and the immediate surroundings. Over 7 million people, wedged between the Andes and the Pacific, live in the bustling capital.

Valparaiso

The colorful, vibrant coastal city with seaport and seat of government is the cultural center of Chile.

Puerto Montt and Chiloe

The gateway to the south: from here is Patagonia.
