Wonderfully warm winter weather, clear air, and the Alpstein and the Churfirsten within reach. A short Snowshoeing.
The main thing was the motto on New Year's Day. Much too late we left, so we arrived at lunchtime in Old St. Johann. We treat ourselves to the Ride on the small train, even a kafi at the top of Alp Sellamatt. But we push it, out into this wonderful snowy glittering world.
Cursed the snowshoes and just run on well-trodden paths nose. We have about one hour to go and one hour back, so we have some buffer left and get back to the mountain railway in time for dawn, to catch the last descent at 16:30 in any case.
